Internships

I completed a 100 hour medical internship at Carolina Village, which is a nonprofit assisted living facility. During my time there, I worked in the facility’s medical center, where I shadowed registered nurses (RNs), family nurse practitioners (FNPs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and a physician assistant (PA). I observed various medical procedures and daily care routines, asked questions to deepen my understanding, and assisted with non clinical tasks such as helping residents with daily activities and supporting the medical staff. This experience gave me valuable insight into elder care, interdisciplinary teamwork, and the importance of compassion in healthcare.

Awards

I am in the process of earning the Congressional Award Bronze Medal, a national honor presented by the United States Congress to recognize initiative, service, and achievement in young Americans. To earn this award, I completed over 100 hours of voluntary public service, pursued personal development goals, engaged in physical fitness activities, and planned and executed a goal over several months. The award reflects my commitment to personal growth, community involvement, and long term goal setting.

Extracurricular's

I have been apart of my schools Interact Rotary Club, which is community service based, for about 2 years. I am also in our schools National Honor Society.
