
Throughout my history of working, I set myself apart from others by striving for nothing but the absolute best. My reliance and work ethic are exemplified by my consistent upward growth in every position I’ve taken on. I pride myself on my ability to constantly move forward and accept new challenges as they are presented to me, and plan to do so as my career continues on.
This position requires self reliance. This small, yet proficient kitchen is made up in its entirety by a group of less than 10 people. A responsibility of this position involves creating a list of tasks and goals based on the items of the menu, the busyness of the season, the workload of my partners, and the overview of the following days. Tasks would then be carried out by myself to prepare for service that day and the rest of the week. During service, our team proficiently builds and delivers high end results even in a high stress environment.
Dishwasher- This position was a three to four person crew whose responsibilities involved cleaning, sanitizing, moving, and storing an incredibly high volume of equipment at a high pace. One of the biggest strengths in this position was the ability to change your role in the dish team to maximize the overall flow and efficiency of the kitchen as a whole.
Prep Cook- This positions responsibilities involved receiving a list of tasks and carrying them out quickly, precisely, and efficiently. This position required my ability to ask questions and fill gaps of knowledge that might be present before and during the completion of any given task to ensure it is be completed in the correct manner.
Line Cook- The success of this position relied entirely on communication and the ability to work and flow as a cohesive team. This four to five person crew specialized in taking the proper tools and ingredients to quickly create professionally presented dishes. The goal of this position was to create a constant flow of orders coming in, and orders going out.
Dishwasher- Run a solo operation involving the cleaning, sanitizing, organization, and storage of all of the kitchen equipment. This position required the ability to constantly work and excel in a high stress, high volume environment.
Prep Cook- This position focused mostly on the ability to communicate and follow precise instruction. The flow of work would rely on the kitchens ability to communicate their needs to me, and my ability to quickly interpret and execute whatever was needed to keep our team afloat.
