• I would generally have a different job a week. Designed and installed custom landscape features to meet clients'' aesthetic preferences and functional needs. From clearing trees and shrubbery to putting in irrigation and patios to planting and taking out dead plants and putting in new ones. I would use machinery to load materials onto trucks for the day or for trenching with a dingo, most the time I used a shovel. I did mostly residential work moving 70 yards of mulch with wheelbarrows when mulching. Generally a 10 to 12 hour day was standard with a 45 minute lunch. I worked in all conditions of weather from 100 degree days to cold rainy days if the project allowed.

I would mix mortar all day and put out materials for the masons so they could keep working without stopping making sure they always had materials. I would set up the jacks when first arriving to a job site and when moving to another side of the house. I would use heavy machinery to pick up brick and mortar to reach the jacks and to move material sometimes in thick mud from a weekend rain. When the masons had materials and there was free time I would clean up the job site making it safer to traverse and move material. When the masons would finish for lunch or the end of the day I would help them joint out the wall. I would cut bricks that need to be shorter on corners or specific angles for windows and doors and accents. I would also work on all heights sometimes on the ground or three stories up.
