Aid Broadband Engineer in all aspects of Star Communications broadband products and transport network, including installation and repair, Tier 3 support services, network monitoring, and security procedures.

• Install, upgrade, and maintain Routers, Ethernet Switches, Ethernet edge devices, CPE, LAN/WAN equipment, DSLAM’s, FTTH equipment, as well as evolving IP related equipment. Installation will consist of all wiring, power-up, software loading, testing, turn-up, provisioning, backups, and documentation.

  Maintain LAN/WAN, IP, Ethernet/Optical, DSL, CPE, and FTTH equipment system wide.

  Install and troubleshoot circuits and Ethernet connectivity that may be used during the build out and installation of LAN/WAN’s.

Provide technical customer support services and procedures as well as development and implementation of all data and video product applications provided by the Star Communications family of companies.

• Support and maintain broadband customer access devices such as ATM edge devices, IAD’s, LAN/WAN equipment, DSLAMs, cable routers, FTTH OLTs, Wireless HotSpot Controllers, Wireless Aps/Base Stations, and dial-up RAS, as well as evolving IP and Ethernet related equipment.
• Support and maintain customer broadband CPE including DSL modems, Cable modems, Wireless CPE, FTTH ONTs, and Ethernet/fiber switches.
• Assist Plant and Engineering personnel in installation and troubleshooting of broadband circuits and video connections.
• Provide basic home networking support for customers (i.e., routers, switches, PCs, tablets, smart phones, wireless devices, etc.)

• Performed troubleshooting and diagnostics of malfunctioning equipment, machinery, tools and components.
