Mostly worked in the Crisis and Assessment Unit which is like an ED for child, adolescent, and adult behavioral health patients without health insurance who reside in Wake County. Patient's are triaged and cared for on a 16 bed unit until placed into an appropriate hospital or 1 of 3 units on Wakebrook's campus.

Worked on a nineteen bed behavioral health acute care setting with psychiatric patients over 18 years of age using a team approach. Majority of employment was working as a charge nurse while also maintaining a full patient load.

Investigated and identified confirmed and suspected Coronavirus cases. Documented affected contacts. Communicated with documented COVID-19 patients and other exposed persons via phone call or email. Reached out to people newly diagnosed with COVID-19 to determine contact histories and potential exposure. Contacted people exposed to symptoms of COVID 19, assessed symptoms and referred for testing.

Provided care, comfort, and support to patients (and their families) navigating the difficult time at the end of their lives. Developed care plans for each patient to ensure their needs were met. Typically had a case load of 5-8 patients and worked on call 2-3 times a week when the office was closed.

Assessed North Carolina Medicaid recipients applying for the Medicaid funded in-home Personal Care Services program. Wrote reports which guided service eligibility and level of care determinations. Interview and wrote reports for 5 patients per day. Worked remotely due to COVID-19.

Worked part time doing medical check ins for campers at Camp Royall (a summer camp for children, adolescents, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Worked as a staff RN providing care for 1-3 critically ill patients including overdose patients, complicated withdrawal patients, and patients who had attempted suicide. Also cross trained and worked in CCU and CTRU. Served as a member on the Hospital's Ethics Committee.

Worked on a Medical-Surgical unit, Intensive Care Unit, and Recovery Unit in a rural 40 bed hospital. Worked with pediatrics and adult patients. Code team member.

Provided care for mostly domestic animals before surgeries. Administered anesthetics as necessary for overall comfort and health. Greeted pet owners and went over available services, outlined costs, and determined special needs of animals under care. Administered medications to animals in treatment and documented changes in condition. Collected and processed biopsies and body fluid samples for laboratory analysis.
