- My position was a self contracted tech & some of my duties were different depending on the day. Some days i would be in the warehouse where i would wrap, box, label, & take inventory of furniture such as tables, supplies, hardware, or any other item that were taken out of residences that were under restoration from fires, floods, & other natural disasters, where we would then carefully pack these boxes & wrapped furniture into wooden crates placed throughout the warehouse & process them into the inventory log to be safeguarded until the home was restored & ready to bring everything back. On other days i would be apart of the team that goes out to the residence of the fire or flood where we would talk to the homeowner to see what they want taken & what they want disposed, then we would wrap all furniture & box all items that they wanted restored and load into the box truck to be taken back to the warehouse & be cleaned or repaired. even on days where i would be in the warehouse customers would sometimes come in & we would show them how we clean, restore, & package all of there belongings & explain how our process works. a-lot of it was typical warehouse work but there was a good amount of customer service & support experience with the job as well.
