  • Installed, maintained, and modified electrical and avionics systems on F-35 Lightning II aircraft such as, the electrical power system including a 270v and 28v battery, electro-hydrostatic actuation system, power and thermal management system, cockpit displays, auxiliary power unit and communication, navigation and identification systems, in accordance with DoD and Lockheed Martin technical specifications and safety regulations
  • Conducted aircraft inspections and functional tests on all electrical systems, guaranteeing compliance with military airworthiness standards
  • Maintained meticulous documentation of all maintenance, repair, and modification activities in compliance with DoD regulations, supporting operational transparency and quality assurance readiness using Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) for JSF F-35
  • Utilized JTD and ALIS to perform electrical system analysis, ensuring optimal aircraft system performance for pre and post modification
  • (FRC East/MCAS Cherry Point)
  • Worked as part of a team in removing numerous avionics system components for a collaborative modification of pertinent aircraft structural integrity using JTD, F-35 blueprints and a work in progress book
  • Worked alongside my mentor in wire repair to include multiple vertical stabilizer quick disconnects for ease of access to Depot level and Flightline level maintenance
  • Collaborated closely with mentor to develop deeper skills in troubleshooting any problems on operational checks after the F-35 was rebuilt after modification, ensuring a safe flight for the pilot and an excellent jet for their squadron
  • Intermingled with airframes to assist in various jobs using hand tools, support equipment essential to advanced component removal
  • 2 lift fan removals
  • 2 fadec removals
  • Torque sensor removal
  • Drive shaft removal under discrepancy work order scope

Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Sensor Operator

USAF
Creech AFB
03.2022 - 07.2025
  • Full motion video (FMV) analysis
  • Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Support
  • Mission planning, execution and debrief
  • Real time targeting and tracking
  • Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT)
  • Communication and coordination
  • Speaking with controlling air agencies for clearance, JTAC's for missile launch approval
  • Data collection and reporting
  • Situational awareness
  • Knowing where anyone and everyone was (friendly and otherwise) to help paint a big picture for allies on the ground, backing up my pilot for air collision avoidance, border busting prevention and other aircraft related emergencies
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Numerous emergency procedures ranging from aircraft electrical systems, engine malfunctions, pitot static issues and Bold Face emergencies that are memorized
  • (Creech AFB)
  • Operated electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors on the MQ-9 RPA platform to provide real time ISR support to ground and air forces
  • Conducted detailed FMV exploitation, target detection, and tracking for mission critical operations assisted in mission planning, route selection (for SAM threat avoidance), and sensor employment to optimize intelligence collection
  • Maintained situational awareness of airspace, threats and mission objectives during dynamic and timed targeting operations
  • Identified and reported actionable intelligence, supporting time sensitive targeting and real time battle damage assessments
  • Executed 3 emergency procedures and checklists to ensure safety of aircraft and mission continuity if possible

F-15 Avionics Technician

USAF
Lakenheath AFB/Seymour Johnson AFB
08.2018 - 03.2022
  • F-15 E avionics maintenance and repair
  • Troubleshooting complex electronic systems
  • Such as radar, electronic warfare and countermeasures, navigation systems, Sniper and Navigation pod communication and data link, and cockpit and mission management
  • Radar, communications and navigation
  • Also assisting weapons technicians, fuels technicians, engines technicians and crew chiefs
  • Wiring diagrams and data flow analysis
  • Wiring diagrams were used to identify components in the systems, tracing signal paths to troubleshoot in depth problems, identify grounds and shields and where they were in the system for wire repair
  • Data flow analysis was finding where data transfers happened, seeing the source to destination, bus architecture (how parts “talked” to one another on a “bus” to carry information), and figure out signal types such as digital and analog
  • Operational tests and validation
  • Technical documentation and compliance
  • Flight line maintenance
  • (Seymour Johnson AFB)
  • Maintained, troubleshot and repaired integrated avionics on 28 F-15 E’s
  • Assembled, disassembled, modified and upgraded aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement system changes
  • Assisted with the upgrade of the old Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) to the new AESA v2 radar, equivalent to the F-22 radar
  • Assisted in the upgrade of the old Advanced Display Core Processor (ADCP) to the ADCP II system
  • Performed operational checks, calibration and validation/verification testing of avionics systems and components to ensure flight readiness
  • Inspected, removed and replaced any faulty wiring, harnesses and electronic assemblies using technical manuals and schematic diagrams
  • Utilized diagnostic tools and test stations to analyze performance, isolate malfunctions and conduct repairs on various avionics systems
  • Documented maintenance actions, test results and modifications in accordance with DOD and Air Force regulations
  • Supported sortie generation by providing rapid response to avionics issues, ensuring minimal aircraft downtime and mission continuity
  • Red balls were called for any avionics issues while the pilot was in the aircraft prior to take off, we would de-escalate the situation and possibly remove and replace any parts ensuring aircraft was safe for takeoff
  • Provided on the job training and technical guidance to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative maintenance environment
  • Trained roughly 20 people in total of the 6 years as an avionics tech
  • Ensured compliance with safety protocols and participated in regular Quality Assurance (QA) inspections and demonstrations
