Program Management: Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule and effectively communicate project progress and any issues as they arise to the Project Manager and clients while assisting with execution and implementation of scope of work to close energy gaps for reduction goals.
Project Development and Support: Support the revision or drafting of projects and acquisition documentation such as Analysis of Alternatives, Concept of Operations, Technical/Systems Requirements Documents, Technical Evaluations, and System Specifications.
Energy modeling with applicable software: Proficient in software such as Sketchup used to build 3D models of residential dwelling units. Tasks include interpreting schematics with extensive knowledge to represent numerous building schedules and energy efficiency applications. Data analysis is integrated into software applications such as Ekotrope to generate home sustainability representation. Reports are generated, archived, and sent to the customer and government agencies and non-profit organizations.
Consulting with advanced custom and production builders: Conduct assessments of buildings to evaluate the components of the building systems, provide recommendations for improvements, and use observations and industry standards to determine future building system replacements. Facilitated cross-functional execution by communicating requirements to the customers to complete visual design as well as creating architectural and technical designs to determine the most efficient plan of action for program compliance. Investigates opportunities for rebates, energy programs, and equipment to increase home efficiency for appropriate projects.
Quantitative Utility Analysis and Engagement with Utility provider: Using various forms of building science expertise and deductive reasoning to create energy consumption projections of homes in the southeastern regions of North Carolina. Rebate estimates are projected, recorded and reported to Supervisors and Managers at Duke Energy, Santee Cooper and various Contractors.
Implementation of various types of testing: Conducting a series of tests on the home with building science techniques such as Blower dower testing and calculations, numerous duct leakage tests, flow rate for ERVs, bath fan exhaust CFM measurements, and running diagnostics for envelope leakage. Thermal envelope calculations are derived to ensure compliance acquisition.
