Riley Gertsen

At the Patchogue Medford Library I was a children's page, my tasks consist of setting up programs for the library, shelving and organizing books, cleaning dvds, cleaning up the children's area, as well as doing meticulous crafts like cutting out small shapes or characters. During the job it was great to meet so many people who either worked there or were just patrons enjoying the library it got me to hear some great stories along with the town as well as the library being very art focused it was great for my creative process, the job was great and the people were nice, they all seemed to like me and my work ethic but I would to branch out to jobs that Im more interested in.

This was my first real job and as a crew member at the Wendy's I was put on back window taking orders and money until i took over grill position and that was my main duty for the majority of the time i was working there. I would cook the burgers and chicken as well as use the deep fryers and clean the grills at the end of the night. It was a decent job and im thankful for everything it did for me. Before that i just resold some sneakers and things along those lines.
