This Facility housed some of the most innocent and
individuals as they were mentally and physically challenged.
Many had lived their entire lives in this facility not knowing any family other than the daily caregivers at the facility.
Special handling , moving and care was individualized for each person. Each person had a plan of care specific to their needs.
Each person in the facility was totally dependant on caregivers/staff.
It was important to know how to approach the individuals in order to gain their trust and cooperation.
My granddaughters are the reason we relocated from Virginia to N.C.
I wanted to be involved in their lives as they grew.
The move has indeed provided that for me.
I enjoy watching them participate in their sporting activities as well as being able to be involved in their school activates.
We enjoy dinners and weekends together for sure.
Vacations are more fun with the littles included!
Of course we enjoy shopping and shows together as well.
It is all precious time spent!
