Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within a mental health facility. This role supports patient care by ensuring all areas meet strict hygiene and safety standards while demonstrating sensitivity to the unique needs of individuals receiving psychiatric treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and clinical spaces in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
• Follow infection control protocols, including proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials
• Restock supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning materials as needed
• Maintain cleanliness in high-touch areas to reduce the spread of illness and ensure a hygienic environment
• Observe and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to appropriate staff
• Interact respectfully and professionally with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff, maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Adhere to facility policies, including those related to patient privacy and workplace safety
• Support a calm and therapeutic environment by working quietly and efficiently around patients
