  • Managed 30 Exams Venue Staff (Invigilators, Examiners) providing guidance on all HR related matters, performance evaluation, Training and Compensations etc.
  • Ensured all hired staff were fully informed of operational processes, employment classifications, contract terms, throughout their onboarding process. Prepared and trained 30 Exams staff on Exams Delivery and Compliance Procedures, also conducted induction trainings to 30 new hires.
  • Led at numerous opportunities in the recruitment and hiring of more than 200 venue staff, invigilators, clerical markers, and examiners in 5 countries i.e., Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Ghana.
  • Collaborated with HR team to develop and deliver training such: leadership management, Equity Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Led a successful launch computer Based Exams in Rwanda (APTIS for teachers in 2017, Computer Delivered IELTS in 2019, ACCA computer Based in 2020, CFA computer Based in 2022.
  • Sourced venues for testing centres at 6 universities and facilitated a successful negotiation and contract finalization with the preferred academic institution. Determined the high seasons in respective test venues and contracted multiple suppliers to ensure business continuity regardless of space shortages.
  • Coordinated preparedness sessions with 18 Cambridge Associate Schools ahead of the program's deadline with a 100% completion rate. Oversaw reviewing of Cambridge invoices and the generation of each exam series' board fee for all 18 Rwandan Cambridge Associate Schools.
  • Implemented self-audits for my unit immediately after each test issuance, analysed gaps, and came up with solutions ahead of all quality compliance audits.
  • Verified monthly inventory and logistic data in the SAP ERP and made timely requisitions to re-stock by the Exams department. Reviewed the annual budget twice a year, ran weekly report in SAP, carried out bank reconciliation daily, and submitted monthly cashflows to the Regional Finance team in Nairobi.
  • Reviewed the budget management report bi-annually, and ensured accuracy in updates on pending unpaid invoices, expenses vs incomes for submission to the Exams Regional Operations team. Audited all venue staff's, invigilators 'and examiners', invoices to ensure accuracy and timely submission in line with the standard payment procedures and relevant budget lines. Carried out bank account reconciliations weekly, to ensure all exams' payments were correctly captured in descriptions and timely credited.
  • Represented the British Council in the Chevening scholarships admissions, through presenting IELTS English proficiency details and tools to 6 districts in Rwanda. Also attended the IELTS global onscreen marking which I cascaded to teams in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania, through conducting trainings.
  • Carried out Monitoring and Performance Evaluations on a quarterly basis. The insights would be shared with all stakeholders with recommendations on areas of improvement for respective staff.
  • Organized and coordinated the successful of 4 regional meetings (with 50 attendees and 3 on-site events). Ensured all attendees had the right travel documents and visas in collaboration the Rwandan Immigration Office, booking of accommodation, transport, and all supplier management.
