•HU OSA Community: Purpose is to encourage students to get out and serve their community in different ways. This organization involves multiple ways of achieving community service such as helping set up the student ballroom for the freshman ball, going off campus to an event with the president for a breakfast, and helping staff around campus moving boxes from one classroom to another. HU OSA Community is a great way for students at Hampton University to get involved not just within their community on campus, but off campus as well.
•Praise Dance Ministry: Purpose is to tell a story through dance movements, to showcase our love for God and how he has helped us. By embracing our love for dance and God, we are able to move our bodies without explaining how good God has been to us verbally. Praise Dance Ministry performs during Revival, which is an event hosted by the Hampton University Campus Ministry. Bible study takes place, performances happen, along with pastors coming to give a great word.
•Blue Lightning Org: Purpose is to engage in fun during all sport events such as hosting pep rally's, creating different chants, and keeping the crowd hype, with in return, students are able to attend certain off campus games. (Hampton vs Howard, Hampton vs Norfolk State).
•Hampton University's North Carolina's Pre-Alumni Council: Purpose is to focus on hosting events dedicated to individuals who are from North Carolina. Some events include movie nights, selling candy grams, and hosting a barbecue for all North Carolina individuals to come together and meet one another.
•TheRootCheckIn: Purpose is to allow students to take a second to breathe and let go. College can be extremely overwhelming at times, and this organization helps students realize that it is okay to not be okay. A lot times, we get wrapped up in our school work, social life, and extra activities that we don't take time for ourselves to sit back and relax. This organization helps students know that it is okay to take time to get back to yourself.
