As a seasoned Paramedic Supervisor with current and previous Medical response experience. I can not only speak the language of the Medical responder but can also understand the logistics side as well. I am looking for a challenging position in the medical field with a company that I can use my strengths as a strong team player who posses honesty, integrity and dedication to work ethics to get the job done. One of my greatest attributes is my love for people, whether I was jumping from a helicopter in the middle of a hurricane or helping a little old lady feel as if she has a friend, my love for people has always come first in my life. Initially I was hired as a Paramedic and went on to be promoted to Lieutenant, Captain and Major/Supervisor. During my time with RCEMS I oversaw 1 Captain, 2 Paramedic Lieutenants, and up to 14 Paramedic/EMT's on my shift daily. As a Paramedic I was in charge of all aspects of patient care from initial contact, Advanced Cardiac Life Support to 12 Lead EKG Interpretations. Other duties that I do include the following:
I am on the Rockingham County TEMS Team (Tactical Medic). I have been a member of the TEMS Team for almost my entire Tenure with the County and i provide Medical Care, Support and train with the Rockingham County Sheriff Special Response Team (SRT), Reidsville Police Department SRT and Eden PD SRT. I respond with these Teams in support to their Tactical Callouts, High Risk warrants, Drug seizures and special events.
I was recruited to attend Guilford County Emergency Medical Services North Carolina State Certified Paramedic Academy to start in January 2008. I attended that Academy and graduated in October of 2008. After graduation I worked my way up from Intern to Junior Paramedic and finally to Senior Paramedic and with CGEMS. As a Senior Paramedic I was in charge of all aspects of patient care. From initial patient contact, Advanced Cardiac life Support to 12 lead EKG interpretations. During my tenure with GCEMS I also was certified through the American Heart Association as a Healthcare Provider, ACLS Provider and PALS Provider and all certifications are current.
I was recruited to provide new sales and customer service management to existing and potential new clients. I called on all Teaching Institutions within my set territories in the United States and even though I had a short tenure with Carolina Biological Supply. I was able to quickly establish a rapport with existing clients and gained an additional 150 new clients for the company which increased sales revenue by 75,000 that year.
I took on a non-established territory in North Carolina. Matrx Medical sold everything from disposable plastics, EMS Stretchers, defibrillators, suction units and all items used in Pre-Hospital care. During my years with Matrx Medical I was able to establish several hundred new clients in a very competitive state. I exceeded all monthly quota's and brought my territory from the mid $30,000 annually to around $70,000 annually.
Recruited to oversee operations and to increase sales through existing client base and gain new client sales. Eastern Medical Supply supplied oxygen cylinders, concentrators, bariatric equipment and supplies, wound care and all disposables to nursing homes throughout the State Of North Carolina. I was also tasked with ensuring proper inventory control, ensuring all trucks complied with NC DOT Regulations, Payroll and management of 10 plus employees.
Assigned to USCG Air Station Clearwater and was qualified as H60 Flight Crew, Rescue Swimmer and National Registered EMT. My job functions included deployment from helicopter for air sea rescue's, Medivacs and drug enforcement. Due to the high importance of the job we were required to complete daily, weekly, monthly and yearly proficiency exams in order to keep qualifications. Also, performed safety checks on all survival equipment involved in the day to day operations of the H60 Helicopter and the HC 130 airplane.
Assigned to USCG Air Station Elizabeth City to attend Aviation Survivalman School and US Navy Helicopter Rescue Swimmer School. Upon graduation assigned to USCG Air Station Clearwater.
Assigned to USCG Station Atlantic Beach and was qualified as Boat Crew, Coxswain and Boarding Officer. Duties included Search and Rescue, Law Enforcement and Boat Coxswain.
Assigned to USCG Station St. Petersburg and was qualified as Boat Crew. Duties included building and maintenance of Navigation equipment and electronics from Pensacola, FL to the Everglades FL.
Selected as a member of the USCG Presidential Honor Guard during the terms of President Reagan and Inauguration of President Bush. Duties were to provide Presidential support at The White House, Pentagon, Capital Building and where Military Joint Service was needed. I held a Top Secret Presidential Security Clearance.
