• Worked as a hazmat tech for the Raleigh branch starting out processing hazardous waste and assisting in environmental remediation projects.
• Collected supplies, loaded up vehicles double checking tools and materials, stationed equipment onsite and executed maintenance and/or thorough cleaning of said project.
• Neatly and effectively sanitized worked areas, disposed of garbage and spent supplies and materials and retracted equipment after use wiping down and conducting maintenance as needed.

• Obtained my CDL Class A Driver License in April 2024, I transported hazardous waste in both straight trucks and combination vehicles with dry van trailers and tanker trailers. I learned how to use guzzler trucks and how to properly utilize the different pumps on the trucks and execute maintenance as needed.
• Worked alongside Veolia, Southern Industrial and Toyota TBMNC team in the various tankfarms and buildings at the Toyota megaplant in Julian NC.

• Worked as a subcontractor in South Carolina and georgia areas (Greenville, Summerville, Columbia, Spartanburg, Augusta, Aiken, Waynesboro, Barnwell, etc.)
• Cleaning, repairing, reinforcing, sealing and installing two varieties of gutter protection systems on various types of gutters.
• Installed gutter systems with gutter filters and downspouts.
• Disposed of garbage to the best of my ability, Reassuring that every job was done correctly, took photos and videos to ensure security of installations.

• Worked as a scaffolder both assembling and disassembling scaffolding components for various trade construction workers to safely complete their projects along with Incorp to assist building inside Santee Cooper Cross Generating Station in Pineville, South Carolina.
• Applied hardening plaster on inside walls of storage tanks while wearing proper PPE with tyvecs, Assisting other crew members with materials hard to maneuver with the tight space.
• Organized scaffolding components on pallets neatly out on the yardsite to maintain space for other equipment and materials being delivered or stored from other projects and companies as well as ours.
• Assisted other trade workers with their duties when all scaffolding was erected, adjusting and assembling more as needed.
• Kept areas clean and disposed of debris and garbage and removed scaffolding components safely for people working at the bottom of the storage tanks.

• Worked in a 2-Man crew with other crews tearing off and installing slate roofing in Greensboro NC at the West Market Street United Methodist Church. I assisted in replacement and repairs on woodwork with with detail and specific functions such as built in gutters that were later wrapped in copper aligned from copper valleys.
• Replaced roofing underlayment and installed roof jacks according to how we tore off the old roof to save as much material as possible to reuse along with new material.
• Cut slate with slate cutter and popped nail holes for preparation of installation, Cleaned all debris and removed nails from scaffolding under direct work area to ensure safety of bystanders, property and vehicles underneath. Disposed of garbage and maintained a clean work environment.
• Did various shop work with metal fabrication brakes, such as making conductor heads, downspouts, gutters, copper flashing, copper valleys and kept areas in shop clean and safe for vehicles moving and loading materials.

• Worked with a crew in Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Base installing standing seam metal roofing where i assisted in fabrication of metal panels onsite with a roof panel machine for more efficiency on schedule demands according to weather and deadline management.
• Loaded and unloaded various materials on motorlift equipment such as sheetrock, insulation, screws and metal plates as needed, Kept area clean and made sure everyone was tied off correctly, Ensured our equipment was properly secured and loose materials would not interfere with aircraft and did my best that we followed the guidelines and policy while on base.
• Installed insulation and sheetrock accordingly cutting angles and making adjustments as needed, Installed metal fascia and metal panels with clips as required with precision and consideration of steel beams underneath insulation so they were secure.

• Worked in a 2-Man crew with a foreman as a digger/groundsman for many fiber optic burials and splice repairs, irrigation system repairs and replacements, gas, water, and power cable installations and repairs in the Raleigh, Cary, Durham and Goldsboro areas.
• Assisted foreman with locating damaged communication fiber optic cables on different jobsites, open fields and underground for AT&T technicians to splice or install cables.
• Dug trenches by hand to bury ranging lengths and gauges of fiber (Drop) wires and PVC conduit for fiber optic cables and assisted in the burial of new construction handholes and manholes with grounding rods.
• Situated company vehicle as needed, kept cab clean and disposed of garbage and debris from daily projects, Loaded up correct PPE for designated jobs every morning and filled cooler along with other duties according to company policy.

• Assisted in the installation and fabrication process of a variety of roofs in the Triangle and surrounding areas in North Carolina and Virginia. Both residential and commercial projects of copper, shingles, thermoplastic polyolefin and sheet metal of different gauges mainly being standing seam mechanical lock roofing systems and metal roof coping.
• Inspected roofing systems to identify the best solution for repairs, used a metal brake to fabricate materials for projects when necessary.
• Assisted in installation of base layer membranes and drainage systems.
• Minimized risk of water leakage or rusting by properly sealing exposed fasteners.
• Cleaned, organized and maintained all tools properly always making sure to have a neat work area and removing potential safety hazards efficiently while keeping a working pace.
• Smoothed rough areas and filled depressions or cracks to prepare surfaces for waterproofing.

I would also work here again at a later date from September 2022 until June 2023.

• Assisted in a roofing crew to spray coat an Agri Supply commercial building in Garner and an automotive repair shop in Clayton by scraping the roof to a clean surface. Pressure washing any contaminants on and around the building to apply several layers of polyurethane, silicone and rubber coatings for waterproof protection.
• Inspected different roofs for potential spray coat installations or roof repairs.
• Sealing the vulnerable areas of ribs on metal roofing panels to ensure tightness of the waterproofing.
• Attention to detail, Taping and covering areas on walls and skylights for a nice and clean finish.
• Keeping the work area safe by always maintaining an organized environment and disposing of garbage and used material.

• Learned to use common hand tools for tire repairs, I learned to use tire mounting and balancing machines, I inspected vehicles that were being serviced for any preventative maintenance concerns that would be reported for the best customer satisfaction.

• Disposed of used and unusable tires accordingly loading and unloading tires from trucks in an organized manner.
