During the 2023–2024 school year, I completed my student teaching at The Downtown School in Winston-Salem, NC in a second-grade classroom. I supported the lead teacher during the first half of the year and transitioned into the lead teacher role during the second half. In this role, I planned and delivered instruction, differentiated lessons to support diverse learners, and built strong relationships with students and staff.
Prior to this, I completed observations and placements at Walkertown Elementary School and Kernersville Elementary School.
