
As a Child Welfare Social Worker at Durham County Government, I am passionate about helping children and families in need of support and protection. I conduct assessments, provide case management, and coordinate with other agencies and resources to ensure the best outcomes for my clients. • Manage a caseload of children in foster care, including safety assessments, monthly home visits, and evaluation of permanency goals.
• Develop and monitor case plans aligning with state statutes, court orders, and agency policy.
• Coordinate CFT meetings, BID/IEP sessions, and communications with service providers. • Prepare detailed court reports, provide testimony, and collaborate with GALs and attorneys.

• Assist kinship, foster, and higher-level placements such as group homes, QRTPs, and PRTF referrals.
Conduct intake assessments including psychosocial evaluations, risk screenings, and diagnostic tools.

• Coordinate with clinical teams for service recommendations and treatment planning.
• Review medical and behavioral records to ensure accurate placement decisions.
