- Receive, photograph, catalog, research, and prepare newly acquired objects for display
- Conceive and implement new marketing and fundraising ideas to drive interest, attendance, and donations
- Engage with the local Tourism Board to promote and market the museum and other current city events
- Upon arrival, I worked to develop an accurate database of all items on display donated or on loan; prior to my arrival, nothing was automated or digitally recorded
- Plan and conduct special research projects in all areas of local history, resulting in the development of a series of newspaper articles, fundraising events, and exhibits
- Assist in cataloging and maintaining detailed documentation of all Museum assets
- Report to and serve as secretary to the Museum Board of Directors
