Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues by maintaining open lines of communication and fostering a supportive learning environment (Parent Square).
Manage classroom behavior effectively by establishing clear expectations, modeling appropriate conduct, and consistently enforcing established rules and consequences (PBIS).
Enhance classroom engagement through the use of interactive teaching methods, such as group projects and hands-on activities (PBL).
Maintain accurate records (Data Notebooks/MTSS) of student progress and behavior to facilitate ongoing communication with parents about their child's growth.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs across different grade levels and subject areas (LFS).
Collaborate with other teachers to plan interdisciplinary units that connect subjects and promote deeper understanding among students during weekly collaborative planning sessions.
Identify struggling students early on and provided additional support through MTSS and modified/adapted lesson plans.
Promote digital literacy by integrating technology into curriculum.
Organize and lead educational field trips that complete/connect classroom learning.
Serve on county committee (5th Grade Science) with a focus on new 2024-25 curriculum development guides.
Organize extracurricular activities such as Archery and Robotics.
Continuously pursue professional development opportunities such as workshops or conferences to stay current in educational trends.
Utilize data-driven instruction (pre/post assessment,NC Check-Ins,formative/summative evaluations,interactive notebooks) to tailor lessons for improved academic performance.
Lead professional development workshops for peers on delivering effective Science/Reading Curriculum to students across the elementary grades.
Create lessons and online testing materials to facilitate remote learning (Covid/Inclement Weather) needs.
Complete student progress reports/quarterly report cards using Infinite Campus.
