While at Cleveland county schools I worked with elementary aged students with their IEP goals I also helped students with behavior issues by taking them for a walk to calm down or just get them away from the situation I taught small math, reading and life skill groups I built a strong bond and relationship with my students during my time at Cleveland county schools
My role at Gaston County Schools is similar to my was at Cleveland I am currently in a high school classroom that is called a SAC class This class consists of Students that have very low IQ’s and severe autism They only change to one classroom outside of the SAC class all day I work one on one with 3 of the 9 students I help manage behaviors in the classroom and help manage their IEP goals
