Katelynn Guernsey

My name is Katelynn Guernsey, and I am a seventeen-year-old student at Maiden High School. I am currently a junior at Maiden, and will be graduating in May 2025. I am seeking a part-time job where I can develop, grow, and learn as both an employee and an individual. I possess excellent organization, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Learning is enjoyable to me, and I am very coachable when it comes to learning how to complete specific tasks. I highly value goals and push myself and those around me to reach them, even when I am faced with challenging obstacles. Self-discipline is extremely important to me, and I believe that self-discipline can help an individual, a group, and a business develop and thrive. Positivity and friendliness are two of my favorite things to wear, even when I am faced with difficulties. I am a part of numerous clubs at my school, and I even started and lead one of them. I am also a part of two committees at my church, where I help improve our church community with the help of other members. I have completed around thirty hours of volunteer work in the past two years because I truly enjoy helping and improving the lives of others. I believe that I would be an excellent asset to any store, business, company, or workplace because of my admirable qualities, and love for success.

• I enjoy spending my time reading, writing, and playing pickleball with my friends and family.
• I am a Christian and attend Friendship global Methodist Church in Newton, NC. I am also apart of two committees at my church.
• I am apart of numerous clubs at my school and even lead one of them.
• I have a large family with five siblings, a cat, and two loving parents. I am the second youngest child in my family.

• I have been awarded a math proficiency award from Maiden High School.
• I have been recognized by both the National BETA club and NTHS as an outstanding student.
• I founded and hold a leadership role at Maiden High School by being the leader of the Clothed In Christ club.
• I am apart of two committees at my church, the youth committee and the church council committee.

• I am CPR certified.
• I am OSHA certified.
• I am Stop The Bleed (first aid) certified.

• I have completed around thirty volunteer hours over the past two years.
• I frequently volunteer at my church by helping with meals and feeding those less fortunate.
• I frequently volunteer with the National BETA club at my school. Through BETA I often help run book fairs and santa shops at local elementary schools, pass out back packs of food to kids at Tuttle Elementary school, and assist in organizing Tuttle's library.
• I have volunteered at Samaritan's purse for the past two years where i have worked four hour shifts helping children overseas receive christmas gifts.
