  • I serve as a Fire Protection Specialist in the Training Division at Fort Bragg. Serving all assigned firefighters, fire prevention and administrative personnel including military firefighter units. As the Training Officer, I reviewed and revised portions of the organizations accreditation section referencing the training division, planned and created a comprehensive training program to include OTJ, proficiency and certification training. Produced reports and oversight of all aspects within the training division to ensure deadlines and requirements are met in accordance with local and national standards.
  • Utilized unique management skills to effect positive and more productive training division. I manage and supervise the certification program for mandatory and voluntary upgrade training, Army civilian training. Individually, submitted over 125 packages for certification or reciprocity with zero deficiencies. Managed and validated over 3,100 courses culminating in over 39,000 hours of training for the organization.
  • I manage and supervise the NREMT and state EMT certification and recertification, keeping all members fully qualified as EMT’s. As the Airfield Driving Program manager, I supervise and ensure correct and proper training and certification of assigned firefighters for three major active airfields located on Ft. Bragg, Pope AAF, Simmons and Mackall AAF. During a recent inspection of the Airfield Driving Program, we received an excellent rating.

  • I served as a Station Captain supervising members of the Fire and Emergency Services Division providing services over 53K active-duty soldiers and 14K civilian employees with a daily population of 300K each day, encompassing 251 sq. miles of response zones. Supervised structural and aircraft firefighting crews tasking them with rescue operations for a variety of buildings and response objectives. Supervised at times 19 personnel delegating to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Responsible for hazardous materials (HAZMAT) response priorities while overseeing and supervising the largest contingent of fire and emergency services personnel on the installation at the GS-9 level while effectively and continually evaluating activities, programs, and functions. Served as landing zone supervisor for the department, attending meetings and scheduling requirements set forth for the fire operations division and the 18th Airborne Corp, Garrison, USASOC and Air Force units, accomplishing required mission utilizing personnel and equipment on standby at 3 major landing zones.
