The Patrol Division provides all basic law enforcement functions that the Sheriff's Office is charged with, including the enforcement of state laws and local ordinances, the service of various types of criminal and civil processes, subpoenas, and other legal documents, the investigation of criminal acts committed with the county, and other services.

I have held numerous positions as I progressed at Catawba county EMS. I am currently the Chief Trainer and have held this position for the past 5 years and 8 months. My current role description includes; Supervise and coordinate the training of an assigned shift, Perform monthly field training and evaluation for an assigned shift, Perform daily reviews of Patient Care Reports, Perform Scope of Practice evaluation for each staff member on an assigned shift, Perform investigations of medical care as required by the Quality Improvement Process, Coordinate with the Supervisors and Crew Chiefs to ensure appropriately trained personnel on each unit, Attend and participate in the Training Committee and Leadership Team meetings.

Participate in fire suppression, prevention, medical services, training and disaster preparedness, program services and activities. Ability to operate in dangerous scenarios in life and death environment that potentially exposed the individual to bodily harm and death.
