Greetings,
My name is Jennifer Horvath I was born and raised in West Palm Beach Florida until I was 18. For as long as I could remember I had dreamed of becoming a Firefighter. When I first moved to North Carolina, I made that dream become my reality. I began my firefighter journey by studying. Slowly gaining the knowledge needed to become a professional firefighter. I signed up and began my EMT course in 2018. In 2019 I then began to take Firefighter classes with Mitchell Community College. I then applied to Statesville Fire Department. After successfully completing my Training, I had achieved my goal of becoming a Firefighter. I have been a Dedicated Firefighter for over 5 years. I have since accumulated a track record at Statesville Fire Department. I have become an expert in emergency response and, life-saving techniques. One of my favorite things about the Fire Department, is the team work and comradery. I enjoy working with others and giving back to my community. Some of my favorite moments in the Fire Department include extensive training in hazardous materials and technical rescues, alongside enhancing community safety awareness. Over my journey I have also worked in retail for over 6 years. This has allowed me to gain excellent communication skills as well as patience. All of these things have benefited me thus far, but this is just the beginning. I look forward to continuing my journey with Charlotte Fire Department.
