Assessment and consultation of new and existing patients; assisting in selection of appropriate therapy. Mixing and IV administration of chosen therapy. Enhancing patient satisfaction by thoroughly discussing symptoms and desired outcomes.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary team for appropriate therapies if needed resulting in safer/better health outcome.

• Provide infusion therapy nursing services to patient in their homes. Patient population includes pediatric and adult patients with a variety of ailments.
• Duties include: catheter access and care, vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abs, TPN, IVIG, and others), blood draws, patient education on self-administration, and other skilled nursing duties.
• Contract through Helms at The Neurological Institute (TNI) as their infusion RN. TNI partners with an array of pharmaceutical companies to perform cutting edge research specifically designed to determine the efficacy ratings of new medications before they come to market.
• Responsibilities include administration of the medications currently being researched and providing excellent care to the patients involved in the study.

• Worked on an 8bed ICU as a bedside nurse with patient ratio ranging from 1-2 patients.
• Patient population included GI bleeds, CHF, general surgery, ICU/NICU overflow, septicemia, DKA, CODE BLUE,...etc.

• Worked on a 13 bed CCU as bedside nurse with patient ratio ranging from 1-2 patients. Also functioned as charge nurse.
• Patient population included MI/STEMI, CHF, Cardiac Arrest, Cath lab postop, CVOR postop, PACU recovery, ICU/NICU overflow, Septicemia, DKA, Code Blue...etc

• Worked on a 32bed telemetry unit as bedside nurse with patient ratio from 4-6 patients. Also functioned as charge nurse.
• Patient population included CHF, PPM/ICD pre/post op, Cath lab pre/post op, cardioversions, MI patients, step-down ICU/CCU patients.
