Summary

My diverse background begins with my time at the U.S. Naval Academy, where, despite a challenging departure, I learned valuable lessons in accountability and resilience. This experience was followed by a successful stint as a coach at McCallie Middle School, where I improved the program and garnered appreciation from both athletes and their parents. I then was led to join the U.S. Marine Corps, where I excelled in boot camp, earning the prestigious Honor Graduate and Iron Man awards, and quickly advanced in my Signals Intelligence role, attaining the rank of Sergeant ahead of schedule. In this capacity, I managed sensitive information in collaboration with the NSA and NCIS, demonstrating exceptional trustworthiness and competence.

Currently, I serve as a 6th-grade Earth Science teacher and coach at Boyd Buchanan School, where I have continued to make an impact both in the classroom and on the mat. As an educator, I’ve cultivated a supportive environment that inspires students to seek help, grow academically, and build confidence, earning the trust and appreciation of both parents and students. As the head middle school wrestling coach, I led a team composed largely of sixth graders to an impressive 2nd place finish in our division championship, while also setting a new record for sixth-grade participation. In my role as assistant high school wrestling coach, I’ve taken the initiative to organize preseason training and innovative team-building events, such as the school’s first overnight hiking trip, fostering camaraderie and dedication among our athletes.

I have also attained a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at the American Public University, where I was recognized in the Honor Society.
