I started my career in the precast industry in 2019 where I worked as a laborer making various precast products. In only a few months time, I was able to transition into a leadman for special projects and later into a quality control role. After about a year, I applied for a management training position that moved me to Denver, Colorado where I was able to shadow experienced managers. In Denver, I was given the responsibility to lead the safety program where I was able to decrease the number of recordable injuries significantly. After 1 year in Denver, I took a permanent assignment to manage a concrete pipe and precast plant in North Carolina, managing a crew of about 30 employees . Since arriving, precast inventory is at an all time high and my facility has had zero recordable injuries. I wish to shift my focus to my passion, safety. My goal is to help a new company build and develop a strong safety culture and strive for a goal of zero workplace injuries.
