I started this profession by being a day-to-day substitute. I have subbed for all grades and subjects at least three times. After my first few years of subbing, teachers would request me to the point that I would have my schedule filled for months in advance. Finally, after around four years of subbing, principals begin asking me to do long-term positions, especially for Sped/EC Math. I would teach high school special education math for the last few years before relocating to North Carolina. I started out as a substitute teacher in North Carolina before being hired to teach math at ICAAS for three years. This has led me to have experience with developing comprehensive math curricula tailored to middle school students' needs. I utilize innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and comprehension. I also foster collaborative classroom environments and help students achieve measurable improvements in their performance.
