While attending nursing school I worked as a nurse extern in a extremely busy Labor and Delivery unit. I functioned in a tech/student nurse role. I assisted pre-oping laboring patients, set up for deliveries, assisted with deliveries, assisted in the OR for cesarean sections, and cared for newborns with first vitals, scores, and care.
