Actively spent the last 8 months shadowing members of the transport team 3 days a week observing and participating in day-to-day operations, break fix transport related major incidents, and assisting during change windows to support firmware/software code upgrades for critical transport infrastructure.
• Serving as the NOC point of contact during the annual Cybersecurity CIOPS grid segmentation exercises. Utilizing ansible automation scripts to separate corporate network from the critical infrastructure network while using manual verification methods to ensure the script's success.
• Working in a team focused environment to take incoming calls from customers and building good relations with our field technicians and vendors while simultaneously working tickets generated automatically from multiple network monitoring and alarm systems.
• Actively engaging in troubleshooting with tier two telecom network support associates for data, cellular, fiber, and voice issues, as well as coordinating assistance from other teams such as the Integrated Command Center, Cybersecurity, and Firewall support groups, etc.
• Increased previous role in facilitating major incidents with a better logistical understanding of who needs to be on what call as widespread issues develop across the company leading to an overall quicker time to resolution.
