Purr Partners Feline Rescue, 10/2019 - Present
Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to saving feline lives. We are always providing support to overcrowded local shelters. Our efforts are organized into specialized teams, each with a unique focus to maximize our impact. In my role, I manage two different areas of the organization. The first one is one of three adoption centers located within a PetSmart store. My responsibilities include overseeing all day-to-day operations, scheduling, and leading a dedicated team of 12 volunteers to ensure the center runs smoothly and effectively. The second team I manage is the Temporary Foster Program. We are the only rescue withing Raleigh NC that offers a temporary foster program. This program is there for those who find cats and want to help them without a full time commitment. To make sure this program runs I oversee up to 10 different fosters do all of their scheduling for medical needs, check ins, and ensure the cats get through the Petsmart program for adoption. I oversee all the meet and greet appointments for those cats and process their adoption applications for potential adopters.
Operation Catnip, 10/2020 - Present
Operation Catnip is a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program in Raleigh dedicated to supporting the local feral cat population. Our mission is to humanely trap feral cats, provide them with essential medical care, including vaccinations, and perform spay or neuter procedures to help reduce the stray population in our community. After receiving care, the cats are returned to their natural colonies. In my role, I work directly in the field, setting traps and safely transporting cats to and from their colonies.
