In addition to sales and finance experience I also worked with Durham life Insurance company for 3 years in the late 70's. After that experience I became the area representative of American Family Life Assurance Company. I exceeded their initial expectations of myself and won the prestigious Fireball Award in my 1st year which is awarded to the top newcomer in the State. After 3 years I bought a furniture and appliance store in Wadesboro and ran it very successfully for 14 years. I sold it to an investment group and accepted a position as a regional manager with Heilig Meyers Furniture which was America's largest furniture chain at that time. I progressed well with that company but constant moving and uprooting my family wasn't working out. So I accepted the position with Kernersville Dodge. They were selling an average ofv55 cars a month when I arrived. When I retired, it was normally 600+.
I managed a department that was responsible for the sale and finance of over 600 vehicles The processing and finalizing of these documents is crucial to the cash flow of a $500
Million corporation I did every phase of that and also worked with customers on a daily basis to market financing as well as warranty and various types of protection for their purchase I worked in this capacity for all my 26 yrs and enjoyed the interaction with my subordinates as well as customers
