I am committed to working in EMS and continuing to grow in this field. I currently hold my NCEMT, CPR, Stop the Bleed, FEMA 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications, along with EVOC and Traffic Incident Management certifications. I take pride in staying prepared and making sure I am trained to handle the responsibilities that come with this career.
I have worked with Chadbourn Fire and Rescue and Columbus Transport, which gave me experience in both emergency response and transport settings. I am currently serving with Brunswick County EMS, where I continue to develop my assessment skills, scene awareness, and ability to work as part of a team. Working here has taught me the importance of staying calm under pressure, communicating clearly, and always putting patient care first.
I understand that EMS is not just about responding to calls. It is about representing your agency professionally, writing accurate reports, and treating every patient with respect. I take documentation seriously and make sure my reports are clear and detailed. I also understand how important scene safety and teamwork are to protecting both patients and providers.
I am currently taking college courses that focus on scientific reasoning and research methods. This has helped me think more critically and understand why we do things the way we do in medicine. I believe learning never stops in this field, and I want to continue improving my knowledge and skills.
My goal is to keep growing within EMS I am dependable, willing to learn, and committed to doing the job the right way. Most importantly, I care about the people we serve and want to make a positive difference in their lives when they call for help.
