Summary

I am an experienced educator with over nine years of service in elementary education, including more than six years as a classroom teacher in grades K–3 and my current role as an Early Literacy Specialist with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to supporting student achievement through high-quality instruction, strong relationships, and evidence-based literacy practices. As a classroom teacher, I planned and delivered differentiated instruction, used data to guide decision-making, and created engaging learning environments that supported the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. In my current role, I provide literacy coaching, facilitate professional development, support implementation of the Science of Reading and LETRS, and collaborate with educators and administrators to improve literacy outcomes for students in grades K–5. These experiences have strengthened my instructional expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to helping all students succeed.
