• As an EMT-Basic at Dunn Emergency Services, I worked with a Paramedic/EMT-Basic team. I am responsible for the basic life support side of patient care. My job consists of administering oxygen delivery, administering basic medications such as acetaminophen, nitroglycerin, oxygen, glucose, and more, tending to wounds, splinting suspected fractures, and performing detailed patient care reports.
• I respond to incidents such as motor vehicle collisions, sick calls, allergic reactions, hazardous materials incidents, pregnancy calls, lift assists, structure fires, and many more.

I follow the strict protocols in place by Harnett County Emergency Services.

With my team, I am responsible for performing maintenance checks and check-offs on our ambulances, life packs, and gear bags.

• At Medex Medical Transport, I was responsible for transporting patients for hospital discharges, dialysis transports, and doctors' appointments for patients who are bed-confined.
• Some of my responsibilities were performing maintenance checks and check-offs of our fleet vehicles.
• What made Medex unique is that it was kickstart to my career in Emergency Medical Services. I learned how to make detailed patient care reports, patient assessment, transfer of care, obtaining signatures for documentation, and how to interact with patients.
