Work History

CEO/Owner

Kent Finance LLC
07.2020 - Current
  • In April of 2020 with the pandemic in full swing I decided to start a Digital Marketing Business, This business was unsuccessful because I wanted to stay local. I eventually learned to optimize the stock market to make great profits.
  • During this time I worked part time at Fedex on the loading dock from 3/22 until 4/23. I worked full time at Canfor Lumber Company from 4/23 until 10/24.Yes I worked there 2 times. Great company. With Great People.
  • Since I can run Kent Finance with only a few hours a day I also like to keep a steady income which is why I seek employment with benefits.

Currently I also have a second business as a contractor for spectrum installing cable and fiber in residential homes. I fund this Business myself provided my own vehicle and tools. I pay for business insurance as well which is not cheap, But this does not provide health insurance and 401k benefits. I started this in 01/25.

Warehouse Shipper/CNC Machine Operator

ABB
05.2013 - 07.2020
  • With this company I worked in the shipping department as the logistics coordinator, My job was to assure that all products made it on a truck in a timely matter and shipped to the correct location
  • My role also was to keep up with the trucks that showed up at our location to dock
  • I drove a sit down forklift and stand up forklift the whole time employed at this position
  • Sometimes I even had to move the truck trailers around in the shipping area yard
  • This job was very difficult at times because our warehouse space was limited so if I did not keep up with shipping orders out the warehouse floor would fill up
  • I was also required to call and to contact the trucking companies when special deliveries were ready
  • So i got a lot of good communication experience here, Also some leadership skills experience as well because I had to make sure operations were running smoothly and the shipping packagers were making things happen
  • When things were not going as planned I had to come up with solutions as to what to do
  • July 2016 I applied for a job in Fabrication. I started out as a press brake operator. My job was to maintain this machinery keep the hydraulic fluid full, Read and interpret the blue prints for each and every kind of part I ran, (hundreds of different parts). This job taught me how to use calipers to measure my parts to the thousands of an inch, also I received training in all the welding machines in the area.
  • Working in fabrication was enjoyable because there were parts that were really hard to perfect and I enjoy a challenge, I'm also a pretty fast learner and highly motivational.
  • In 2018 I received training on the CNC plastic molding machine.
  • By 2019 I could run 90% of the machines in the fabrication department. There were over 40 machines total.

LUMBER GRADER

Canfor
04.2007 - 10.2012
  • At this job I worked in a section of a saw mill that Smoothed/plained the lumber.( It's the final phase from the lumber being brought in as a tree, Being sawed down to actual lumber widths and lengths to dried then to the planner section) So the lumber would be brought in by forklift loaded on to a conveyer belt ran through a huge plainer machine
  • Then it was ejected from the plainer machine onto another conveyer belt and brought to me
  • At this phase in the process I would check the lumber for correct dimensions, Knots or holes( any defect would put the lumber in a certain category) So in short my job was to put the price on the lumber it could be sold for
  • Example: If the lumber was bent to a certain point it would be graded a 4, which means it's virtually useless/scrap wood
  • If the lumber was perfectly straight with minimal knots/defects it would be graded a 1 or select( highest grade possible) To add to this every knot oe hole/defect had certain dimensions it had to meet before being a certain grade
  • Part of my job also was to keep this plainer conveyer belt moving , if anything stopped this conveyer I was to problem solve/fix the problem which required a level of maintenance skill
  • I also kept this area of the mill clean and preformed regular maintenance on all the moving parts in this section
