Summary

With all of these varying disciplines, I strive to give 100% of my effort and dedication to be as knowledgeable and professional as possible. In my role as a paramedic, I treat both routine and emergent patients while maintaining equipment, personnel, and resources. With my increased critical care certifications, I am able to organize special circumstances in which patients need critical care interventions. As a technical rescuer, I perform rescues in many disciplines allowing me to be more effective on emergency calls such as wilderness search and rescues to motor vehicle accidents. As a non-commissioned officer and a combat medic in the U.S. Army reserve, I train junior soldiers/ medics to standards established by the U.S. Army and NREMT. I also coordinate medical readiness and take responsibility for equipment, resources, and operations planning. My role as a paramedic instructor involves both instructional time and the making of class materials. Both are centered around different learning styles based off of how students understand the material. This instruction is taken a step further when precepting paramedic students on the ambulance.
