I am a Sergeant/ E-5 in the Army National Guard with two combat jobs, Military Police and Field Artilleryman as a gunner. I have been on one deployment to Guantanamo Bay year 2015 into 2016. Job title was Military Police where I pulled security for the base. I also provided security for two Presidential Inaugurations.

• Directed and controlled crowds at base functions and organized and recorded facts to prepare incident reports.
• Monitored and authorized access to restricted areas by employees and visitors to guard against theft and incursion.
• Improved overall operations planning efficiency by appropriately supervising dispatch movement during security incidents.
• Monitored and investigated suspicious persons, situations and unusual activities.
• Composed reports on daily activities and incidents, which encompassed theft and damage to property, presence of unauthorized individuals and other unexpected situations.

My job consisted of supervising the daily activities of inmates, enforcing rules and regulations, and preventing escapes. As a Master Jail Officer which is a supervisory position. I assisted my Commander with ensuring that the staff as well as inmates were following all posted rules and regulations. I also was the Lead Honor Guard Coordinator, where I put together community service programs.

• Escorted prisoners to and from court, jail and other jurisdictions or rehabilitation institutions.
• Patrolled and visually inspected units, yards, buildings and prisoner property and clothing to ensure welfare, security and safety.
• Conducted booking procedures on new inmates by performing fingerprinting and medical assessments.
