Accomplishments

  • Management: I am a Department of Homeland Security Inventory Manager (IM Code HG) for the C-130 (H Model) aircraft product line and manage over 900-line items, communicate daily with supervisor, equipment specialist, contracting, and customers ensuring needs are met. As the Education Officer for enlisted members, I encouraged growth and opportunities through advanced studies. Quarterly meetings and open-door policies resulted in 35 new students from a small pool of candidates. Additional experience includes Warehouse Operations Chief at an ISO 9000 facility, responsible for leading 45 government employees and contractors ensuring parts are delivered to 24 Air Stations as well as Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) and quality assurance expert for a vessel and facility valued more than $100M. Currently, I utilize my MBA with a concentration on Logistics to teach QSO 330 Supply Chain Management and QSO 425 Reverse Logistics and QSO 300 Operations Management at Southern New Hampshire University totaling over 100 courses to date. The topics range from the 4 elements of supply chain management, cost savings initiatives, supplier choice selection process, re-order levels and safety stock analysis, continuous review, periodic review, 5S methodology, flow diagrams, Pareto charts, fish bone diagrams, and control charts to name a view.
  • Additionally, I have been the SME on several courses at SNHU related to supply chain management and real-life scenarios for students. This task required detailed explanation, multiple meetings with course developers to prepare course material for higher education learning.
  • Organization: Processed over 100 repair contracts in the past year with a combined value of over 4 million dollars. Directed a $1M facility improvement project at a 120,000 square foot warehouse with no impact on inventory control, workflow, and customer satisfaction without increasing staff requirements.
  • Inventory Control: Managed 45,000-line items and $2 billion-dollar aviation warehouse. Supervised all inspection, maintenance, warehousing, and control and distribution functions. Attained 99.9% asset accountability on all quarterly audits conducted by outside auditors.
