  • Pre-Apprenticeship Program January 2025 – March 2025
  • Nine-week program which includes technical and career readiness training. Four core skilled trades pathways are learned:
  • Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
  • Essential skills training that included: effective communication, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence.
  • Construction Mathematics – fractions, subtraction, applied math concepts, area & perimeter, and cost calculations.
  • Tool identification, use and maintenance: tape measure, miter saw, hammer & nails, sander, impact, drill, screwdriver, channel locks, socket wrench, and electrical testers.
  • Construction Safety – PPE equipment and worksite safety.
  • Commercial Painting – priming/prepping, painting/staining, testing/repairing, and knowledge of different sheens.
