I started at KCI in August of 2017 as an entry level designer doing contract work for Duke Energy.
In March of 2019 I was promoted to Team Lead of our lighting department.
After a little over two years, I had grown my team five times and was asked to take over our Major Projects team as a project manager.
When I came to this team, we had four designers and were barely getting work.
After one year the team had more than doubled in size and the workload is greater than it has ever been due to the improvements that were made in production, quality and overall efficiency.
As a project manager I am responsible for preparing, scheduling, planning and executing each job we receive.
I focus greatly on developing and maintaining relationships with our Duke counterparts to help promote and increase our work to a greater and more challenging load.
I currently run a team of ten designers and have over 400 jobs I am managing.
I also take care of setting up the financials on each order as well as dealing with invoice rejections and approvals.
My goal is to get out the best quality product we can in the most efficient way possible.
Maximo and BOUD are the main software I use with Duke and we have set up a tracking system in TEAMS to keep up with all orders, permits and invoices.

I started off at ARCA as a production team member and was promoted to 'Lean Technician' in November of 2014.
As a lean technician I was responsible for pulling parts orders, handling and dispositioning non-conformant materials, supplying our production team with all materials necessary for the day and keeping our Kan Bans and Supermarkets stocked.
I also ensured that our production team is running efficiently, determining new ways to improve and decrease takt times, identify and solve issues related to out of cycle work and improve processes continuously.
