SUMMARY:
Responsible for the preparation, communication and monitoring of the receiving of products, ensuring inventory policies are met. Also responsible for the documentation and accuracy of inventory as well as monitoring inventory systems and bill of material maintenance. Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items receipt, material placement and material distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates team and helps team to physically unload inbound trailers, intercompany and imported goods.
Transports, moves and places goods received using order picker trucks and Drexel (swing mast lift trucks) accurately and timely.
Prepares outgoing loads for shipment to Clinton, SC and Cleveland, TN facilities, including all required computer transactions, paperwork and physically loading trailers.
Leads team in department housekeeping, equipment maintenance, bailing of cardboard and plastic, and securing trailer and dock doors throughout the shift.
Serves as liaison between Renfro and third party distribution vendor, ensuring consistent and accurate communication regarding all shipments.
Maintains accurate weekly reports which track all shipments.
Maintains receiving function through inspection and acceptance of incoming shipments and returns.
Ensures the distribution of relevant paperwork.
Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Coordinates the truck loading function with supervisors.
Monitors and updates status information to ensure deliveries, as well as coordinates special shipments.
Coordinates and participates in periodic inventory checks/cycle counts and year-end inventory.
Maintains a safe work environment and safe working conduct from all employees. Reports and remove all safety hazards immediately as discovered.
Performs other tasks or assignments as assigned by leadership.
