Work History

Non-Profit Intern

Jonathan Janus
08.2023 - Current
  • Maintaining community garden. (We made a garden for the close-by neighborhoods primarily around East-Mecklenburg Highschool for those in need of a plot.)
  • Tutoring and advising other highschoolers, as well as volunteering at Idlewild Elementary School with other members of the Non-Profit organization.
  • Team-Building

I am a member of a Non-Profit organization called LEAD FORWARD that aids students in their educational journey and future-building. Within this organization we tour colleges, attain job opportunities, volunteer, host venues (food stands, clothing stands, etc) and grow important qualities with our fellow members and others we meet along the way, mainly leadership. I have been a member of this organization since August, 2023 of my freshman year at East-Mecklenburg Highschool, and plan to continue my journey with the organization through my new school of CPCC in the middle college sector.

Animal Care Supervisor

Cynthia Payne
12.2024 - 04.2025
  • Feeding and supplying water for over 80 animals. (Horses, Cows, Donkeys, Mules, Ducks, and Cats.)
  • Gave medication to animals if needed.
  • Kept the farms condition. (Lawn mowing, fixing or posting fences, checking farm equipment condition.)
  • Acquiring farm materials and food. (Going to Tractor Supply to get animal food, etc.)
  • Spending the winter nights at the farm/ranch to ensure the protection of the animals.

I worked for my friends mom who owns a farm/ranch out in Locust, NC. The farm contained 5 enclosed and open fields with different types of boarded animals. I had to communicate directly to other workers for scheduling, and assist in the event of an animal being injured or giving birth. I worked in varying weather circumstances from pouring rain, snow, or storms to hot temperatures throughout my time working at the farm.

Lawn Mower

Myself
01.2024 - 09.2024
  • Mowed lawns of residential properties on weekly basis to maintain grass length.
  • Removed weeds, hazards, and debris from common pathways to improve usability.
  • Removed grass clippings and leaves from property using blower.
  • Removed rocks and other items from lawn for mower safety and clean appearance.

I mowed my lawn and many others in my neighborhood for 9 months in order to get money.

Tutor

Jonathan Janus

During my freshman year of highschool within my non-profit organization we helped guide the young students at Idle-wild elementary as a quality building exercise throughout the school year.
