I am a member of a Non-Profit organization called LEAD FORWARD that aids students in their educational journey and future-building. Within this organization we tour colleges, attain job opportunities, volunteer, host venues (food stands, clothing stands, etc) and grow important qualities with our fellow members and others we meet along the way, mainly leadership. I have been a member of this organization since August, 2023 of my freshman year at East-Mecklenburg Highschool, and plan to continue my journey with the organization through my new school of CPCC in the middle college sector.
I worked for my friends mom who owns a farm/ranch out in Locust, NC. The farm contained 5 enclosed and open fields with different types of boarded animals. I had to communicate directly to other workers for scheduling, and assist in the event of an animal being injured or giving birth. I worked in varying weather circumstances from pouring rain, snow, or storms to hot temperatures throughout my time working at the farm.
I mowed my lawn and many others in my neighborhood for 9 months in order to get money.
During my freshman year of highschool within my non-profit organization we helped guide the young students at Idle-wild elementary as a quality building exercise throughout the school year.
