  • AWARDS & COMMENDATIONS: 2011 Exemplary performance of duties as an AH-1W Airframes Technician from May 01 to 01 Dec 2011. During Operation Enduring Freedom 11.1 and 11.2. Corporal Girona performed demanding duties in a highly professional manner; distinguished by performing 250 maintenance actions accounting for 693.3 man hours and facilitating a utilization rate of 79.7 hours per month in support of combat operations.


  • 2012 For outstanding achievement while serving as an Airframe and Hydraulics Mechanic in August 2012. Corporal Girona discovered and reported discrepancies involving the UH-1Y Hydraulics pretest setup in a maintenance instruction manual. His superb work ethic and outstanding initiative significantly contributed to the Marine Light Attack Helicopter Community; preventing future damage to aircraft hydraulic systems fleet wide.
